Central Theme: Optimizing Health & Happiness at Individual and Work Places

The program was fully hall packed, well attended, with highly learned intellectuals,both as speakers and participants.SL Jaya Prakash, to start with, introduced Dr Yugandhar,the convener & organizing Secretary, NADA, Chief Guest, Shri Sanjeeva Reddy IAS, Principal Adviser-Times of India,Hyderabad, and Guest of Honor, was Smt Rama Lakshmi,addl.principal Secreatry & Chief Conservator of Forests, Environment cell.
The program started with Dr Yugandhar’s brief report, on the recent past events, followed by inaguration of schedules by lighting the lamp by the chief guest, Dr Sanjeeva Reddy IAS who stressed on the importance of integration of diverse holistic therapies and called it as the need of the hour and reiterated the importance of inter-disciplinary approach than confining oneself to a segment of development.

Session II – Importance of Thoughts and Emotions in the Cause and Cure of Disease

Speakers
S Radhakrishna stressed the importance of having a great relationship with the Self. One cannot love the Other if one does not love the Self. Being a guard at the gateway of our own minds to prevent unwanted thoughts from entering and being watchful of our words is important, as words have an energy of their own. The 3Cs to follow are:- Don’t complain,criticize or complain. Tips for building good relationships like improving listening skills, smiling, genuinely appreciating others and accepting oneself unconditionally were shared.
Dr Yugandhar gave the background of The Institute of Transformational Medicine and its activities. The fundamental working principle to cure physical, physiological, emotional and spiritual maladies is a cure by transformation. Erratic birth patterns lead to erratic breathing patterns and associated illnesses. Transformational medicine aims to cure diseases and suffering through practice of meditation. Everything in the universe is nothing but energy and vibration and when the energies are blocked, disease results. It is necessary to change both the emotional and psychological software in our minds to be cured.
Mr A V L N Kumar in his talk covered the two types of yoga – internal yoga and external yoga. External Yoga is Hatha Yoga and consists of Kriyas, Asanas, Pranayamas, Mudras and Bandanas. Internal Yoga deals with Bhakti, Karma, Jnana and Raja Yoga. He detailed the stages in these yoga techniques. It is necessary to condition the mind first, by allowing it to concentrate on an object, and then move to deconditioning of the mind. While a person may practice mantras and do penance to decondition the mind, the wholesome method for Samadhi is to practice meditation.
Dr Renu Mahtani spoke on the topic of “Mental Housekeeping”. It is an art of inward communication. It is important for the conscious and the sub conscious mind to be in alignment. Any unresolved emotional conflicts cause illness. The three point formula for Self Introspection and Mind Mapping are: Show Gratitude, Apologise and Forgive. A willingness to forgive begins the healing process. As long as we do not forgive, it occupies a rent free space in our mind.

Mr. Sashidhar Reddy spoke about the synthesis of yoga’s in practicality and various Arihat meditations.. Arihata means deserving. Pranic healing is the gateway to higher spirituality. It uses prana, to keep a person physically, mentally and emotionally fit. Mr. Reddy has stressed the importance of purification of soul and mind and building of good character. The purpose of arihatic yoga is “Manifest the greatness within oneself”.
Prof M Venkata Reddy expressed concern about the various occupational health hazards of Cyber World such as neurological, psychiatric & respiratory problems etc. due to continued usage of Personal computers, mobile phone etc.). As he has rightly mentioned “Do not let your computer cripple you“. Avoid continuous usage of the devices which are potential health hazards. He has thrown light on various health hazards as computer vision syndrome (CVS), Electro-Stress, Emotional Stress etc. A mention was made about the Left and Right brain theories, Ergonomics – study of knowledge related to loss of work, first and second study of yoga based therapy. A brief description on a) classification of the causes of diseases was shown as Deha Bhedha, Desa Bhedha, Vrutti Bhedha, Rutu Bedha) the symptoms, preventive and precautionary measures of different types of stress as given by scientists.
Prof GR Maheshwar has given an energetic talk about the “Law of Attraction” for health and happiness. One needs to vibrate at higher positive levels in order to lead a happy life. As mentioned by him one will attract the dominant thoughts, become and attract what one thinks. Happy feelings will attract more happy circumstances. Like attracts Like ( positive or negative ) You are a living magnet. Whatever going on in your life is your own manifestation. Visualize(seeing is believing), rehearse and play the picture in your mind, it manifests. “I am the creator of my life and I will create it the way I want”. People release vibrations and receive similar vibrations. Just think of it?? And it manifests. Rock like Gratitude will bring more bliss into life.
Dr Krishna Murthy has emphasized the importance of living a natural life. Naturopathy is a treatment which employs nature’s products. Naturopathy emphasizes health restoration as well as disease treatment. It is a holistic approach to health and healing. Naturopathy sees disease as a manifestation of alterations in the processes by which the body would otherwise naturally heal itself. The term "naturopathy" literally translates as "nature disease." As a holistic approach, naturopathy emphasizes health restoration as well as disease treatment. It accepts the idea that the mind can do much to improve the functioning of the immune system and to enhance the person's overall level of health and vitality. Why take an antiviral daily to suppress herpes outbreaks when this can be done with lifestyle and natural methods that do the same thing while enhancing your immunity. |

Shri LV Subramnayam spoke few words on “Indian Culture- Art of Living & Art of Leraving”, stressed that Indian culture is the best and excellent. Unfortuantely,present youth is ignoring and denying, feel that ignoring is their birth right. He felt,that denying Indian culture is denying own mother. He has opined the need for such spiritual seminars, spiritual enlightenment by listening and learning from the learned speakers on excellences of various aspects of Spirituality,imbibe into personal lives,lead a life of happiness and peace and should know ART of LIVING and ART OF LEAVING (leaving back & pass on to the present youth and future generations).
Swami Gaurangapada :On Mantra meditation and pranic healing, spoke about energy body, Mind, Intelligence, Ego & Spirit. He said that body is the vehicle for soul.. He has enlightened about Mantra meditation and the power of word and sound and the effect of its vibrations. He enlightened that while chanting a mantra,whether we know the meaning or not, the words in Mantra (ieMantra- Meditation) works on us. For eg Ni( while in haling), means,ETERNAL AND TAAI(while exaling),Joy and Happiness. & Nitayanand for ANANDAMAYA KOSHA. While emphasizing the power of word,he has also quoted Holy Bible (St John 1:1) that “In the beginning was Word and the Word was God: He has detailed about human beings, comprising of Annamaya Kosha,Pranamaya Kosha,Manomaya Kosha,Vignanamaya kosha and Anandamaya Kosha.. He spoke about location of mind, souls etc in our human body. He spoke about Prana, having 10 kinds of Airs, Spiritual Soul being situated in the region of Heart.Here arise, 10 nadis,each Nadi, giving rise to 100 sub nadis,each sub nadi ,in turn to 72,000 branch nadis etc.
Ms CH Sailaja : spoke about Energy Body & it’s Structure, Healing Systems, Aura and It’s evaluation: Defined Energy as Capacity of doing well. Energy is the basis of Universe,she said and and spoke about cataegories of Energy as 1) Universal Energy, 2) Life energy and 3) Divine Energy, Body can be of 1) Physical, 2) Plasma 3) Aura & 4) Energy Body.She has explained various techniques to create Energy ie through 1) Pranayama 2) Meditation 3) Energy breathing 4) Energy Transformation 5) Tai Chi etc to attain Health and Peace.She explained Disease as dis’ ease ie Not easy with one self, which can be Physical, Mental & Emotional, She explained different layers of aura ie Panchakosha,Inner Aura,Health Aura etc.
